Jim Moylan

Former CFO, Ciena

Jim Moylan retired in 2025 after 18 years as CFO of Ciena Corporation, where he guided the company’s financial strategy through significant growth and global expansion. Over his career, he also held CFO positions at five other companies spanning energy, manufacturing, and financial services, giving him deep expertise in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and operational excellence. Moylan previously served on the New York Stock Exchange’s Listed Company Advisory Board and is active in energy industry associations such as INGAA and the Southern Gas Association; on the board of community organizations including The United Way and Junior Achievement, and on the finance counsels of Christ the King Cathedral and Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School. His leadership in financial stewardship and corporate governance continues to shape organizations navigating complex global markets.
