Mike Kavanagh is a seasoned leader in digital infrastructure with more than 35 years of experience developing and operating tower, small cell, and fiber businesses. His expertise spans communications technology, strategic growth, mergers and acquisitions, and operational leadership.
Most recently, Mike served as Chief Operating Officer – Towers at Crown Castle, where he held a variety of executive roles over 14 years, including Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, and President of Small Cell operations and sales. During his tenure, he played a key role in driving growth initiatives, expanding network capabilities, and building long-term value for customers.
Before joining Crown Castle in 2010 through its acquisition of NewPath Networks, Mike co-founded and led NewPath as Chief Executive Officer. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Metawave Communications and held leadership roles at Opencell Corporation, US West NewVector, and Raytheon Corporation.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Seattle University.
