- Carmel IN

The Telamon Foundation, the charitable arm of Telamon Corporation, is pleased to announce recipients of funding in 2018. These funds support initiatives that focus primarily on the Foundation’s pillars of arts and education.

“The Telamon Foundation is happy to support these organizations whose programs align with our philanthropic endeavors,” said Stephanie Kim, President of the Telamon Foundation. “The entire applicant pool was very deserving, I wish we could award funding to each and every applicant! We look forward to seeing the outcomes of the grant dollars provided to our awarded entities.”

The organizations that received funding include:

  • Center for the Performing Arts, an organization that engages and inspires the Central Indiana community through enriching arts experiences.
  • Civic Theatre, an organization that fosters a love of theatre through imagination, education, and participation.
  • Indianapolis Children’s Choir, an organization that nurtures and inspires student achievements through quality music education and the pursuit of artistic excellence in choral music performance, supporting ICC’s Everyone COUNTS.
  • Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, an organization that inspires, entertains, educates and challenges through innovative programs and symphonic music performed at the highest artistic level.
  • KIPP Indy Public Schools, a network of open-enrollment college preparatory public schools, to support the educational opportunities of one kindergarten and one first grade classroom at KIPP Indy Unite Elementary, providing 50 students with the resources to climb the mountain to and through college.
  • Museum of Miniature Houses, an organization ensures that collections of quality miniature room settings, houses, and individual pieces will not be lost to future generations.
  • Teacher’s Treasures, the “Free Store for Teachers”, helping at-risk children get materials for school via 100% donated educational supplies, to help support the Mobile Outreach Program.
  • United Way of Central Indiana, an organization that fights for the education, financial stability, health and basic needs of everyone in our community.

In addition, Telamon employees are able to help determine how the Foundation spends a portion of its philanthropic resources through the Telamon Foundation Employee Giving Program. To recommend an organization, an employee must make a personal financial contribution on an annual basis, volunteer, or serve in a leadership role for the non-profit. Telamon supports organizations across its employee base nationwide.
