Telamon Foundation
Cultivating deeper connections by investing in our communities.
Commitment to Community
History of the Telamon Foundation
The Telamon Foundation was established in 2014 to support communities where Telamon has operations. While originally focused on the arts and education, which stemmed from the importance of education to the Chen family and co-founder Margaret Chen’s training as a concert pianist, we now provide funding to a variety of organizations that reflect our values.
The Center for the Performing Arts
The Telamon Foundation sponsors the Passport Series at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, which brings international musicians and performers to the area. This partnership fulfills our goal of supporting the arts, while offering cultural engagement in the city where we’re headquartered. Tickets are distributed to our employees who may not otherwise have an opportunity to see international acts like these.
Better Education Through KIPP
With our dedication to furthering education in communities, we have found a natural partnership with KIPP, the nation’s largest public charter school network that services underprivileged communities within Indianapolis. Telamon CEO Stan Chen has been involved with KIPP for a decade, including multiple seats on the Board of Directors.
Foundation-Funded Employee Benefits
Our vision at Telamon is to be a load-bearing support across generations, not only for communities, but for our employees as well. There are several ways that employees can benefit from the dedicated funding of our work at The Telamon Foundation.
College Scholarship Program
The Telamon Foundation awards two annual $5,000 scholarships to college students, eligible to the dependents of Telamon employees.
Employee Gift Matching
Telamon employees who volunteer for any 501(c)3 organization and make a financial gift can apply for Telamon to match their gift up to $500 per annum.
Event Tickets
Through partnerships with local performing arts organizations, The Telamon Foundation is able to provide event tickets to employees to invite them to experience new art forms.
Partnerships & Support
These are just a few of the organizations we’re committed to helping in our community.
