1985
Telamon founded by Albert and Margaret Chen
After years in the telecom industry, our founder Albert Chen struck out on his own, founding Telamon with his wife Margaret in Indianapolis, Indiana. They later relocated the headquarters just north to Carmel, Indiana, where it exists today.
1989
Second Telecom location opened in Southern California
The opening of our second location signaled strong growth early. We have since grown to 16 locations across the globe.
1997
Expanded Telecom business into Installation Services
Adding Installation to our services signaled additional growth, diversification, and potential for the future. Today, we offer six different services across our Telecom business.
2004
Diversified into Industrial Solutions
Industrial Solutions originally provided kitting services for clients across the country. The business has grown and evolved into its current wire harness manufacturing service.
2014
Telamon Foundation established
The Telamon Foundation was established with a strong passion for the arts and education, to support communities where Telamon operates.
Acquired Westbrook Manufacturing
A custom wire harness manufacturer, this acquisition moved Industrial Solutions into this field and added two additional facilities in Ohio and Mexico.
2015
Stan Chen named CEO
Albert’s son Stan Chen was named CEO, maintaining Telamon’s status as a family business.
2016
Telamon Ventures established
Originally an incubator and investment studio, Telamon Ventures is designed to extend the reach of Telamon’s connectivity capabilities and give life to businesses.
2017
Expanded Telecom into Wireless Network Service through acquisition of CLS and Rizzo
2023
Industrial Solutions wire harness services entered into the white goods market
With a legacy in the automotive sector, Industrial Solutions began to provide wire harnesses for appliances found throughout the home.
Telecom Mobile Distribution established
With warehouse locations across the country and an establish history of distribution and supply chain services.
2024
Reached $1 billion in revenue

Telamon supports parts suppliers that produce wire harnesses that go into 30 global major automotive OEMs, and support manufacturing of wire harnesses that fit into a variety of consumer appliances found throughout the home. With a focus on customization and collaboration, we review product designs and recommend optimizations. Prototyping ensures quality before large-scale production—all with a zero-defect mindset.
